Nestled in the core of a national park in the Rila Mountains, Borovets, with its 58 km of skiing terrain, is a haven for those who prefer scenic, tree-lined slopes. Its distinct ski areas cater to various skill levels and are known for their pristine beauty and diverse challenges.
Beginners: The initial lessons are provided in the nursery area adjacent to the Hotel Rila. As you gain confidence on the beginner slopes, you can ride the Sitnyakovo Express chairlift to experience the 5km long, gentle King’s Cottage Ski Way. For those seeking a bit more excitement, the short blue runs like Sitnyakovo 1 or Markudjik 1 offer the perfect challenge.
Intermediates: While Borovets may have a modest ski area, it packs a punch for intermediate skiers. The Yastrebets sector offers captivating long red runs. A must-try is the Musala Pathway blue run, the resort's longest at 12km, which offers a picturesque journey through the forest, stretching from the Markudjok sector at the peak down to the village. Other areas, like the Sitnyakovo centre, present shorter red runs and easy routes back to the village, ensuring a mix of adventure and relaxation.
Advanced: Advanced skiers have the thrilling World Cup run in the Yastrebets area to test their skills. Besides, Borovets is known for its off-piste skiing amidst the trees. While the resort might not overwhelm experts with its challenges, the fresh powder on runs like the Markoudjik 2A or the steep Fonfon slope beneath the Yastrebetz lift is sure to be a treat.
Snowboarding: Snowboarders can soak in the breathtaking forest views while conquering every blue and red run. The Fun Park Borovets, adjacent to the Popangelov red run, offers a 250m stretch filled with rails and boxes for those eager to showcase their stunts. Furthermore, the Snowpark at Yastrebetz 3 is a haven with its half-pipe, jumps, and rollers. Freeriders will particularly enjoy the powdery conditions in the Markoudjik area and the mesmerizing nighttime descents through tree-lined pistes.

I usually book flights, transfers, hotel, ski rental and lift passes myself but this year used WeSki for a trip to Morzine. It was so much easier. Everything worked perfectly - transfers arrived on time and there was plenty of feedback throughout the whole process giving you confidence the holiday would go smoothly.
A really useful service that is so much easier to use than other ‘all-inclusive’ sites. It nicely bridges the gap between a travel agent and booking the trip yourself online. I will use WeSki every time I go skiing from now on.
We booked a late minute skiing trip to Morzine through we ski. We looked at booking the trip ourselves but could get anywhere near the price quoted by we ski. The company was excellent and we had no problems at all from start to finish. I would definitely use them to book another weekend skiing trip.
Seamless experience from start to finish. I was spending ages trying to sort out a weekend break and managed to do it with we ski in minutes and for the same price as booking it all up yourself. Flight, transfer and accommodation was all as expected and faultless.
