Kicking Horse offers a truly exhilarating ski experience, from the adrenaline-pumping chutes to the scenic groomers. Its unique mix of terrain caters to every skill level, and the Champagne Powder ensures exceptional snow conditions throughout the season.
Beginners: While Kicking Horse is renowned for its challenging terrain, beginners are well-catered for at the base of the mountain, which features gentle groomed slopes and a dedicated beginner lift. Once comfortable, novices can ascend the Golden Eagle Express gondola to enjoy the scenic 6,2 miles (10km) "It's a Ten" run, a meandering descent from summit to base that offers breathtaking views and a perfect introduction to the mountain
Intermediates: Intermediate skiers can explore a variety of blue and ungroomed trails across the mid-mountain terrain. A favourite spot for intermediates is the Stairway to Heaven lift, which leads to the Cloud Nine trail, offering smooth and scenic runs with panoramic views. The middle section of the mountain provides ample opportunities for progression and skill-building.
Advanced: Advanced skiers will revel in Kicking Horse's upper mountain terrain, which was once heli-skiing territory. With steep pitches, technical lines, and deep powder, the runs here are not for the faint-hearted. Signature trails like Terminator Ridge and Valhalla promise unforgettable descents, while the black and double-black diamond runs ensure a challenge at every turn.
Snowboarding: Snowboarders will find Kicking Horse an exhilarating playground, with varied terrain ranging from tree-lined glades to wide-open bowls. The resort’s natural features provide endless opportunities for freestyling and carving, while the challenging upper mountain terrain tests even the most experienced riders.
Off-piste: Kicking Horse is a haven for off-piste enthusiasts. With easily accessible out-of-bounds and backcountry terrain, adventurers can explore untouched powder and steep chutes. Avalanche safety precautions are essential, and hiring a guide is highly recommended for those venturing into the wild.
Among the large choice of ski resorts in Canada, Kicking Horse is surprisingly family-friendly, offering facilities and activities tailored to children and parents alike. The resort provides daycare services for children aged 18 months to five years, creating a safe and fun environment. Gentle slopes at the base and family-focused programs ensure everyone can enjoy the mountain, while the cozy village and scenic gondola rides add to the family experience.
Snow activities: heli-skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, tubing, cross-country skiing, backcountry tours, telemark skiing.
Non-skiing activities: ice skating, spa and wellness, wildlife tours.

Peaks Grill is the hub for hearty meals and craft beer, often accompanied by live music and extreme sports videos. The Whitetooth Grill in the Day Lodge is a favourite for casual bites, special drinks, and a friendly atmosphere to unwind after a day on the slopes.

For a laid-back atmosphere, Peaks Grill serves homemade meals and cold beer, perfect for refueling post-ski. The Whitetooth Grill offers quick and delicious options, while the Heaven’s Door Yurt provides cozy refreshments near the Stairway to Heaven chairlift.
I usually book flights, transfers, hotel, ski rental and lift passes myself but this year used WeSki for a trip to Morzine. It was so much easier. Everything worked perfectly - transfers arrived on time and there was plenty of feedback throughout the whole process giving you confidence the holiday would go smoothly.
A really useful service that is so much easier to use than other ‘all-inclusive’ sites. It nicely bridges the gap between a travel agent and booking the trip yourself online. I will use WeSki every time I go skiing from now on.
We booked a late minute skiing trip to Morzine through we ski. We looked at booking the trip ourselves but could get anywhere near the price quoted by we ski. The company was excellent and we had no problems at all from start to finish. I would definitely use them to book another weekend skiing trip.
Seamless experience from start to finish. I was spending ages trying to sort out a weekend break and managed to do it with we ski in minutes and for the same price as booking it all up yourself. Flight, transfer and accommodation was all as expected and faultless.
