Vail is synonymous with luxury, adventure, and some of the best skiing in the world. With its vast, varied terrain, this iconic resort draws skiers and snowboarders from across the globe.
Beginners: Vail’s front-side terrain is ideal for beginners, with gentle slopes like Gopher Hill and Born Free offering wide, well-groomed runs to build confidence. The ski school is world-class, with dedicated instructors helping beginners master the basics on safe, accessible trails.
Intermediates: Nearly 30% of Vail’s terrain caters to intermediate skiers. Popular runs like Simba and Berries provide cruisy, wide-open groomers perfect for long, smooth descents. The scenic runs on the Front-Side and the Back Bowls offer endless options for intermediate adventurers.
Advanced: Advanced skiers can find thrilling challenges throughout Vail. The famed Back Bowls, such as China Bowl and Sun Down Bowl, offer wide expanses of ungroommed terrain with deep powder and steep descents. Meanwhile, Blue Sky Basin boasts tree runs and technical lines for those seeking more adrenaline.
Off-piste: Vail’s back bowls are renowned for their off-piste options, providing over 3,000 acres of terrain perfect for powder days. Trails like Windows in Sun Down Bowl and Genghis Khan in China Bowl offer expert skiers a mix of wide-open powder fields, glades, and cliffs to explore.
Snowboarding: Snowboarders will love Vail’s varied terrain and extensive parks. The Golden Peak Terrain Park is a highlight, featuring jumps, rails, and half-pipes. The wide-open back bowls and tree runs also offer excellent free ride terrain for riders of all abilities.
Vail is a fantastic destination for families, offering a variety of kid-friendly activities and amenities. The resort’s Ski & Snowboard School provides excellent lessons for kids, while the Small World Nursery ensures safe, fun care for younger children. Adventure Ridge on the mountain offers family activities like tubing and snow biking, making it easy to keep the whole family entertained both on and off the slopes. The Family Learning Zone on the front side of the mountain provides gentle runs and dedicated areas for families to ski together.

Non-skiing activities: Explore Vail Village and Lionshead’s shops, visit the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum, indulge in spa treatments, and enjoy scenic gondola rides.
Vail’s après-ski scene is vibrant and diverse, with plenty of places to unwind after a day on the slopes. The Red Lion and Garfinkel’s are local favourites, offering lively atmospheres and great mountain views. I usually book flights, transfers, hotel, ski rental and lift passes myself but this year used WeSki for a trip to Morzine. It was so much easier. Everything worked perfectly - transfers arrived on time and there was plenty of feedback throughout the whole process giving you confidence the holiday would go smoothly.
A really useful service that is so much easier to use than other ‘all-inclusive’ sites. It nicely bridges the gap between a travel agent and booking the trip yourself online. I will use WeSki every time I go skiing from now on.
We booked a late minute skiing trip to Morzine through we ski. We looked at booking the trip ourselves but could get anywhere near the price quoted by we ski. The company was excellent and we had no problems at all from start to finish. I would definitely use them to book another weekend skiing trip.
Seamless experience from start to finish. I was spending ages trying to sort out a weekend break and managed to do it with we ski in minutes and for the same price as booking it all up yourself. Flight, transfer and accommodation was all as expected and faultless.
