Skiing in Davos

Beginners: The Jakobshorn ski area is equipped with a nursery zone and two draglifts, providing an ideal setting for those new to the sport. As beginners gain confidence, they can explore gentle blue runs not only on Jakobshorn but also on Parsenn. Above Klosters, the peak of the Madrisabahn gondola presents another beginner-friendly spot.

Intermediates: Davos features an array of skiing opportunities across its five primary ski areas: Parsenn, Madrisa, Jakobshorn, Pischa, and Rinerhorn. Intermediates can especially enjoy the vast runs in the Weissfluhjoch region, with some trails, such as the descent to Küblis, spanning over 2000 vertical metres. The convenience of catching a train back after a fulfilling ski session adds to the charm.

Advanced: Pischa mountain, solely dedicated to freeride skiing, ensures an unparalleled experience during favorable snow conditions. Moreover, ski routes located behind Jakobshorn and the top-tier runs at Madrisa, such as itinerary 12 and piste 9a, offer additional challenges for the experts.

Off-piste: The entire Pischa mountain boasts of ungroomed terrains, providing an authentic skiing experience. Adventurous skiers can also explore the ski routes behind Jakobshorn, but they should be prepared to take a bus back from the end point.

Snowboarding: Jakobshorn remains the favored destination for snowboarders in Davos, thanks to its snowboard-friendly terrains. However, snowboarders unfamiliar with surface tows might face challenges in certain areas like Rinerhorn and the upper parts of Madrisa.
