With 220 km of pistes spread over two main peaks and access to glacier skiing at 3,600m, Les Deux Alpes is among France's best ski resorts for both families and thrill-seekers, offering a vibrant atmosphere with plenty of options on and off the slopes.
Les Deux Alpes guarantees good snow conditions throughout the season thanks to its high altitude and glacier skiing. The resort’s elevation ranges from 1,300m to 3,600m, ensuring consistent snow, especially at the top. Snow-making systems cover 60 hectares of key runs, and the snowiest week typically falls in mid-December, with an average of 54 cm of snowfall over 3.1 snowy days.
Les Deux Alpes offers 220 km of slopes across varied terrain, making it an excellent choice for all levels of skiers. Beginners will love the nursery slopes near the village, where seven lifts are free of charge. Intermediates can enjoy long, easy-going blue and red runs, while experts will relish the off-piste areas and challenging descents from the glacier. The La Grave off-piste area offers world-class terrain for those seeking an adrenaline rush. The resort’s lift system is efficient, ensuring smooth access to the glacier and all areas.
Les Deux Alpes is ideal for beginners, offering plenty of space on wide, gentle nursery slopes next to the village. Above the village, the Crêtes area provides more gentle runs, perfect for building confidence. Even beginners can experience the glacier at Mont de Lans, accessed via an underground funicular, with long, easy runs and spectacular views.
Les Deux Alpes is home to several highly regarded ski schools, catering to all ages and abilities. The Ecole du Ski Français (ESF) offers group and private lessons, while the European Ski and Snowboard School and International Ski and Snowboard School of St Christophe provide personalised instruction in smaller groups. Children can start skiing from the age of 3 at the Piou Piou Clubs, which offer a safe and fun environment for learning the basics.
Families will find Les Deux Alpes a great destination, with plenty of family-friendly facilities and activities. The resort’s ski-in/ski-out accommodation makes it easy to access the slopes, and the wide range of gentle runs ensures that everyone can find terrain suited to their level. In addition to skiing, families can enjoy ice skating, sledging, and snowshoeing, with plenty of leisure options to keep kids entertained.
Les Deux Alpes offers excellent childcare options, ensuring parents can hit the slopes with peace of mind. The Bonhomme de Neige crèche provides care for children aged 6 months to 5 years, with professionals ensuring a safe and engaging environment at the foot of the slopes. For children aged 5 to 14, the Leisure Centre Bonhomme de Neige offers both indoor and outdoor activities. For more flexible care, services like Ann’Sitter offer qualified in-home childcare.

I usually book flights, transfers, hotel, ski rental and lift passes myself but this year used WeSki for a trip to Morzine. It was so much easier. Everything worked perfectly - transfers arrived on time and there was plenty of feedback throughout the whole process giving you confidence the holiday would go smoothly.
A really useful service that is so much easier to use than other ‘all-inclusive’ sites. It nicely bridges the gap between a travel agent and booking the trip yourself online. I will use WeSki every time I go skiing from now on.
We booked a late minute skiing trip to Morzine through we ski. We looked at booking the trip ourselves but could get anywhere near the price quoted by we ski. The company was excellent and we had no problems at all from start to finish. I would definitely use them to book another weekend skiing trip.
Seamless experience from start to finish. I was spending ages trying to sort out a weekend break and managed to do it with we ski in minutes and for the same price as booking it all up yourself. Flight, transfer and accommodation was all as expected and faultless.
