Skiing in Drei Zinnen

Beginners: 3 Zinnen Dolomites is an excellent choice for first-time skiers, with nursery slopes available in each village. Sesto and Waldheim provide dedicated beginner areas, while the Haunold ski area in San Candido features 5 lifts and 23km of gentle terrain.

Intermediates: With 48km of red slopes, 3 Zinnen Dolomites is an ideal resort for intermediates. The Giro delle Cime circuit (34km) allows skiers to explore all five mountains, with a total cumulative descent of 5,600m. The long red pistes on Monte Elmo provide challenging yet enjoyable descents, while the tree-lined slopes of Baranci offer scenic, rolling terrain. Those looking to extend their adventure can take the Ski Pustertal Express train to Kronplatz, adding another 100km of pistes to their ski holiday.

Advanced: Expert skiers can challenge themselves on Holzriese, the steepest piste in Italy, with an adrenaline-pumping 72% gradient. The Rienza ski area in Dobbiaco serves as a training ground for ski racers, offering expert terrain for those looking to refine their skills.
